The Four Rules
1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.
2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.
3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.
FEAR
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
- Bene Gesserit, from Frank Herbert's Dune
Penn Jillette
“F**k Civility. Hyperbole, passion, and metaphor are beautiful parts of rhetoric. The marketplace of ideas cannot be toned down for the insane.” - Penn Jillette

Posted by Guffaw in AZ | December 12, 2011, 9:26 pmI'm considering the Elsy Pearson public shooting range in Casa Grande, very close to the intersection of I-10 and I-8. The long bay there is 300 yards, and the backstop is a mountain range. There's a big chunk of rock at about 600 yards directly at the end of the 300 yard bay. There are also 100 yard, 50 yard and 25 yard bays all with covered shooting areas, some with concrete benches. (Bring your own seating.)
Posted by Kevin Baker | December 14, 2011, 9:07 amSounds like a good location! Is there a place in Casa Grande where we might have a blogmeet post shooting?Just wondering…
