Clayton Cramers’ Blog linked to a recent Washington Times article regarding that wonderfully ever-progressive State of California leading the way with more meaningless government control:
~California also became the first state in the nation to require a prescription for obtaining any drug containing dextromethorphan, an ingredient found in many popular over-the-counter cough suppressants, including Robitussin, NyQuil and Dimetapp.~ (emphasis Guffaw)
The law was prompted by a spike in the use of cough syrup as a recreational drug.
I suspect as they inspect incoming Arizona vehicles for ‘buggy’ produce, they will now begin inspecting incoming California vehicles for cough syrup.
“You’re found in possession of Triaminic, you’re busted!” “Look, Bill, he has teaspoons, too!” “Paraphenalia, add it to the charges.”
Hey! California’s creating new jobs for dismissed TSA folk! Good job!

Another reason for residents to vote with their feet.
