Guns Holster and Gear has an interesting take on the single, rapidly accessible gun vault.
While I personally think on-the-body carry is more efficient in a home or office environment, there may be times when such a device fits the bill.
I used to know a Gunsite graduate with many children, who chose to keep a finger-pad combo gun vault in every room in the house. A little OCD, perhaps, but, a better solution than not having quick access to your defensive handgun.
