Say Uncle suggests Rachel Maddow says, in his words:
On occasion, Maddow says something insightful and not inciteful.
…and commenter Bubblehead Les takes issue with his suggestion.
Not having a dog in this fight, I’ll take my own advice and not cast aspersions toward any of the participants, much as I don’t call Rush Limbaugh or Michael Moore fat.
Go and read, and draw your own conclusion. Independent, reasoned thinking toward a conclusion – how rare!

Professional blowhards have one thing in common; no controversy, no audience. Not saying we don’t need them, and that they don’t serve the common good, just saying we should understand what drives them.
Guess you can say the same about bloggers.
Posted by WSF | March 30, 2012, 9:42 amI *heart* Rachel Maddow – that’s probably not a big surprise to anyone. I enjoy her show a great deal and watch it most days. She’s very calm and respectful to all her guests, regardless of political leanings. She’s also very meticulous about her facts and even freqently asks her guests to correct her if she gets anything wrong.
As an “out” lesbian, of course she’s very pro-gay rights and staunchly feminist (as am I), but she doesn’t have a “typical” leftist viewpoint. She’s very supportive of the military and has used her show to campaign for “welcome back” parades for veterans returning from Iraq. She freqently has veterans on the show to discuss their various issues and needs.
And, she doesn’t take herself overly seriously and is able to laugh at herself and doesn’t seem to have an overblown ego like many commentators across the political spectrum.
(As Guffaw likes to disclaim: I have never met Rachel Maddow and I have received no money from her to promote her show. I’m just a fan.)
