Long time readers of this blog will remember my recollection of my 800 pound Fort Knox Safe (with firearm contents) having been stolen from my home while I was absent. I lost over 50 firearms, credit cards, personal papers and other valuables.
To date, none of the credit cards or firearms have surfaced. (Mexico?) I credit the fact that Fort Knox makes a damn fine safe, and I suspect it’s abandoned somewhere, still unbreached.
I ran across this safe idea on the Internet, and while it might not have saved my collection (as my home was being rebuilt and I was not home) I can see it as a less obvious method to keep things generally secure.
A gun and valuable safe in lieu of a box spring. Hide in plain sight (almost).
The company also makes wall and other home safes.
Disclaimer – neither Fort Knox Safes nor BedBunker (Hercules Research Corp.) have given me anything for my mentioning their products. I bought the Fort Knox Safe years ago with my own funds, thank you very much. I’ve not owned a BedBunker product.

Very nice.
