Bullet explodes inside woman’s purse, shoots her leg
If one actually reads the poorly-worded article, it explains:
“Something must of hit the primer of one of the bullets,” Bentley said. “The bullet stayed in the purse, but its casing put a hole in the purse and caused a minor leg wound.”
Which is what anyone with a passing familiarity with ammunition long suspected. And is why we keep seeing ‘news’ stories with almost all rifles being AK-47s, and all pistols being Glocks.
And small collections being referred to as arsenals.
Not to mention a political agenda.

Not to mention people who are so dumb as to keep loose ammunition in a purse. Dum-de-dum dum…

Posted by guffaw1952 | June 22, 2012, 7:28 amI seriously discourage purse carry for a number of excellent reasons, but some just can’t find any other method acceptable to them or their wardrobe… their problem. But spare ammunition must be kept in a magazine or speed loader, and as carefully guarded from unwanted contact as the trigger of the gun. Holster for the gun, and a similar arrangement for the magazine or speed loader.
Wonder if she’ll try keeping loose ammo in her purse again. That’s the proof of the pudding… We can usually survive being ignorant – not always – but refusing to learn is quite often fatal. I hope she learned something.
Posted by MamaLiberty | June 22, 2012, 7:39 amI headed the media off at the pass, my pistol IS a Glock and my Evil Black Rifle is an AK clone…and I’m working on my arsenal but so far I only have a cache. I think I do need a bigger gun safe though, because my ammo is taking up more space than I have room for.
