Hey, they already have the sand!
Stormbringer brings us ‘intel’ regarding the military preparing for a Pacific Ocean asteroid strike, by ordering all their installations to higher ground (!)
In Sean’s fashion, he entitles the post:
IF ITs ON THE INTERNET IT MUST BE TRUE
Guess it’s cheaper doing that then sending up two space shuttles with Bruce Willis and company.
I don’t know what to make of this. Standard military exercise, preparing for an asteroid strike or something else.
Perhaps it’s time to batten down the hatches and don my tin foil chapeau? What do you guys think?

Hmmm, just wondering why you waste time reading such drivel.
Even if the Army is actually planning on something like that. It remains drivel.
Posted by MamaLiberty | August 11, 2012, 7:55 amSadly, I read much drivel on the Internet. Drivel is my life!

Posted by guffaw1952 | August 11, 2012, 8:17 amSadly, sending up the space shuttles is no longer even an option. We’d need to either modify an ICBM or other large rocket, or, politely ask the Russians or Chinese to please save humanity.
Having just returned from San Diego, I can verify from my own eyes that the Navy activity there seems to be unchanged. That is, they didn’t seem to be heading en masse out to sea to avoid a coastal tsunami.
Posted by Tomi | August 11, 2012, 8:13 amThese were ARMY manuevers, no Naval involvement.
They don’t always share information…
Posted by guffaw1952 | August 11, 2012, 8:16 amAnd those aren’t current equipment, not the right guns, and missing other ‘current’ equipment… Looks like a move to storage/NTC for targets.
Posted by Old NFO | August 11, 2012, 2:31 pmAll that tin foil, now going to waste!
Posted by guffaw | August 11, 2012, 10:48 pmOh well… Put it on the rabbit ears!
Posted by Old NFO | August 12, 2012, 1:39 pmWhat are rabbit ears?
(Just kidding!)
