HIs weasel statement of “I don’t have possession yet but I’ll be turning it over to the Tucson PD when I do” doesn’t pass the smell test. What did he answer on the 4473 when it asked “are you the actual buyer”?
If he checked No, because he “will be turning it over to Tucson PD” that should have denied the transfer.
If he paid for the guns, passed the NICS, then DIDN’T take it out of the store, it surely would have raised some gunshop eyebrows.
