The End Justifies The Means?

Weird And Pissed Off shares with us a story he had to get from the BBC.

(So much for OUR media! – sorry Biff)

On Wednesday, BBC News reported the indefensible discovery that the D.C. Capitol Police’s SWAT team was ready to neutralize the Navy Yard mass shooting.

But, the highly trained and heavily armed, elite tactical group was, instead, ordered to stand down and leave the scene.  The Capitol Police promised a full investigation.

Today, BBC News reported more disturbing information.  No one has talked to the SWAT team members.  Not even for the protocol debriefing.  But, not only have members of the SWAT team not been contacted, the department “has installed a new leader”.  Without explanation.

Now, I’m not paranoid (or am I?) but this kind of thing smacks of pushing a political agenda through allowing violence to continue.

In an unarmed, target-rich environment for the bad guy!

And, it makes me sick.  And more paranoid.

  1. “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.” Not much comfort in those words, eh?
Srsly, the things reeks of political corruption, and it seems they don’t even care that we know. This whole thing is teetering on the brink, and I’m thinking no one but God can pull us back, now. I pray it can be done without bloodshed.

  2. Sorry to bust your bubble but there are those of us that consider this just another Obama Red Flag. Who in their right mind would carry 12 dead bodies up to the roof (that’s hard to do) and then put them on helicopters, which cannot land on that particular roof anyway. It all stinks to high heaven.

  3. The inter-agency jealousy in DC is legendary. In the Navy Yard shooting you had 4 different LE agencies, not counting the FBI. There is the Metro PD, The Park police, The Navy yard PD and NCIS. All of them fighting a internal war over who’s territory it is. The officers from the Navy Yard PD did a admirable job in trying to stop the shooter. If the hadn’t acted, the toll might have been much higher. Wasn’t it a FBI guy that finally shot the perp?

  4. Per attorney Stephen G. DeNigris, the gunman was killed by a Us Park Police officer armed with a M4.

FEAR

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Bene Gesserit, from Frank Herbert's Dune
