The Obama Generation

Remember when we were kids, and taught to strive for self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, and integrity?

Remember when Candidate Obama told us he was five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America?

Welcome to that world…

Congratulations, progressives: here’s what you’ve managed to create:

“The majority of the class felt that they would rather be a slave than to be a factory worker. And she was just extremely confused by that, knowing what slaves went through, she couldn’t understand why anyone would choose that,” James said. “The rationale by those students to choose slaves was that they had free housing, they had free food and they had free protection…”
You’ve done it.  Created a bunch of slave-minded kids who’ll grow up willing to be slaves if you give them enough ‘free’ stuff.

I think I’ll go throw up now.  (Firehand)

Sadly (a word I’m utilizing more and more) I agree with Firehand.  To be fair, obviously, this New America didn’t begin with President Obama.  (FDR?)  But, he’s certainly done nothing to foster the rugged individualism that used to typify citizens of this country.

We are now generationally creating citizens legal residents occupiers dependent on the government teat for nourishment, information, protection and all manner of goods and services.  Paid for by those of us who spent most of our lives working and paying taxes.  And the recipients are so dependent, they have no understanding that their contract with government has a quid pro quo.  And they are passing this tradition onto their drone progeny.

  1. Sad day. But, maybe just a reflection of the reality as certain youngsters see it. In about 3/4s of the world there is very little difference between slave and factory worker, especially in the parts where factory workers are kids that should be in school. I also think the youngsters chose slave because that is what they are used to. Slaves get free medical, free food, free housing, free clothes, free cell phones, free education, all they have to do is vote as directed every year or so. Factory workers have to work for food, clothes, cell phones, education, etc be bossed around by the “Man” and other horrible things. It is also possible these kids see factory workers as brown people from south of the boreder speaking a different language, processing chickens and pigs etc.

And who wouldn’t, under those conditions?
THAT’S the quid pro quo. That’s also why enforcing our borders and ensuring voting is for persons here legally is important. If I can sneak in here legally and get paid under-the-table, free medical are and other benefits, wouldn’t it behoove me to vote for those people who gave me those benefits?

  4. Even with a wife and two kids, the prez appears to still think like a 15 yr old teenager.
Teens can come up with a bunch of ideas that sound good to make the world bettter but the implementation still needs to take place in reality.
Reality is where our “leaders” find themselves ill informed, unprepared and lacking in actual skills. Their solution to all ills is an even more massive cradle to grave govt and higher taxes. Thank you but NO!

FEAR

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
