And this woman is a United States Senator!
AND, a gun owner and a CCW holder in California!
Can you say idiot and hypocrite? I knew you could.

Just got back from my favorite “Fun” store. They had their ATF inspection last week. Notable in that the two ATF compliance tax agents were female. One black and one white. What is notable about that? It seems to me as if they hired a bunch of anti-gun non shooting sports types to work for them. Also notable is that they mentioned that North Carolina has been “given” 20 additional compliance teams. Also noteworthy (especially) is the NEW additional part of the inspection.
The black tax inspector spent the entire time photographing every single 4473. She even photographed all of the deferred or declined 4473s. Registration is here in North Carolina. If you own any firearms that you bought in a gun store on a 4473, you had better start trading them around. Fortunately I do not. Now I shall have to see if this was done at work since we had ours last month. Did not occur to me to inquire as that is not my department. (m21308)
We heard about this in Alaska, wherein attention was brought to bear by contacting their Senators. Has it been happening elsewhere? I thought this was a direct violation of a couple of federal firearms statutes? (And the race and gender of the agents is of no concern to me! – Guffaw)
Re: the ‘anti-gun non shooting sports’ types, I was lead to believe one couldn’t be a gun rights advocate, sport shooter, hunter or firearms collector and work for the ATF, as that was considered a conflict of interest!
Has this changed?
Funny, one can own and drive cars and work for the DMV…

One of MY Senators. John McCain. Long-time holder of the United States Senate Seat formerly held by Barry Goldwater. Who undoubtedly is now spinning in his grave.
Yep. He met with
Ernst Stavro Blofeld* George Soros, the billionaire, collectivist, rat fink, one-worlder
In a meeting that created headlines all over the world, U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., had a private summit with atheist collectivist billionaire George Soros, whom TV and radio personality Glenn Beck once dubbed as “Spooky Dude.”
Soros is widely known for funding hundreds of leftist, collectivist political action organizations, including the infamous Center for American Progress, which he created specifically as a think-tank for Hillary Clinton. He has also advised Barack Obama to ignore Constitutional limits on his power in order to “rule by executive order.”
The McCain-Soros meeting took place in Switzerland Saturday at the World Economic Summit attended by some 40 world leaders to discuss how to reinvigorate the global economy.
Of course, it’s not as if we didn’t already know Senator McCain to be a waffling, double-dealing RINO of epic proportions.
(I know, I previously stated I would not use ad-hominem attacks on public figures in my blog. Everything I said about the Senator is true. And
Mr. Blofeld Mr. Soros insured his own survival by turning his own relatives into the Nazis during WWII. He IS a rat fink!)

Check out this chart. All of the numbers are adjusted for inflation.
It compares the kickoff of LBJ’s War On Poverty income stats to those of 2009. (And yeah, the Evil 1% somehow started doing a lot better in 2009 when Obama got elected. I wish I had those numbers on here.)
Everyone is doing better than they were. Granted, they would be doing better if LBJ had never been born, because trillions and trillions were wasted on redundant government programs rather than productive industry and services.
But seriously…. are the numbers on that chart something to get worked up over?
Go here to read the article from which these stats came.
Let’s move on.
Do you earn more than $34,000 per year?
Then you are in the Evil 1%. Yes. If you pull in 34K, you are in the top 1% of earners in the world. (The Whited Sepulcher)
I’m on medical disability and bring in way less than that.
Not all IRS agents are armed, of course. It’s only the Criminal Investigation Division, and they arguably need them. Yet even within that group there’s been some criticism. According to one government audit, IRS Agents ‘Accidentally’ Discharged Guns 11 Times between 2009 and 2011.
Some resulted in property damage or personal injury, claimed the report. What’s more, agents accidentally fired their guns more times than they did intentionally, said the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. That would be a worry for any law enforcement agency.
Again, look at the statistics for armed civilians versus civilian law enforcement officers. Generally, the civilian populus is safer, and more accurate than all of the sworn agencies out there (when taken as a whole).
But the government keeps pushing to make it more difficult to legally own, possess, carry or use a firearm. Is that because they are so bad at it?
THIS, at the request of the postal service, to keep operating. Of course, they have been required to operate at a ‘profit’ since 1970, and have maintained their status as a losing proposition since that time.
In other words, in the RED!
“Why don’t we just get rid of them?” You ask.
Well, we’ve millions of retired postal employees with their cushy pensions and medical care they were promised to deal with.
AND, there’s that pesky Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 of the United States Constitution, known as the Postal Clause or the Postal Power, empowers Congress “To establish Post Offices and post Roads“.(Wikipedia)
Therefore, it would take a Constitutional Amendment to abolish the Post Office.
First Class Postage (2004) 37 cents
First Class Postage (1994) 29 cents
First Class Postage (1984) 20 cents
First Class Postage (1963) 4 cents (Yep, LBJ started the sharp uphill battle.)
No wonder most people now use Email and UPS!

It got a lot of attention this morning when I tweeted, “You’re Eight Times More Likely to be Killed by a Police Officer than a Terrorist.” It’s been quickly retweeted dozens of times, indicating that the idea is interesting to many people. So let’s discuss it in more than 140 characters.
In case it needs saying: Police officers are unlike terrorists in almost all respects. Crucially, the goal of the former, in their vastest majority, is to have a stable, peaceful, safe, law-abiding society, which is a goal we all share. The goal of the latter is … well, it’s complicated. I’ve cited my favorite expert on that, Audrey Kurth Cronin, here and here and here. Needless to say, the goal of terrorists is not that peaceful, safe, stable society.
I picked up the statistic from a blog post called: “Fear of Terror Makes People Stupid,” which in turn cites the National Safety Council for this and lots of other numbers reflecting likelihoods of dying from various causes. So dispute the number(s) with them, if you care to.
You need to read the whole article, and it’s links.
This is the quote that came to mind, after I read them:
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. – Benjamin Franklin, November 11, 1755

REMEMBER the list of JFK assassination witnesses that came out in 1973, with the (skewed) statistical analysis stating the odds of all of them having died ‘accidentally’ within three years of the assassination were one hundred thousand trillion to one?
But they did?
Of course, many of those ‘witnesses’ were minions of mob or CIA functionaries, or at least persons who lived in the sphere of poverty and organized crime. How did the statistics of their deaths compare with an equal number of middle-class, white bread Americans of the same age?
No one knows. I don’t think anyone’s ever done such a study.
Now, let’s got to a list of middle-class and upper middle class Americans, mostly White, who were movers and shakers (or at least associated with) of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Is this list accurate, inaccurate or totally false?
Well the list of people is accurate as they are definitely all dead and they were somehow related to the Clinton’s.
Beyond that, however, it is impossible for me to say anything else for sure!
1- James McDougal – Convicted Whitewater partner of the Clintons who
died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr’s investigation.

(He was about to testify against Hillary related to the records she refused to turn over to congress.) Was reported to have been having an affair with Hillary.
4 – Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the Air Traffic controller committed suicide.

8 – Jerry Parks – Head of Clinton’s gubernatorial security team in Little Rock .. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park’s son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.
9 – James Bunch – Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a “Black Book” of people which contained names of influential people who visited Prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas
10 – James Wilson – Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to the Clintons’ Whitewater deals.
11 – Kathy Ferguson – Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones Lawsuit, and Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.
12 – Bill Shelton – Arkansas State Trooper and fiancée of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancée, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave
site of his fiancée.

25 – Stanley Huggins – Investigated Madison Guaranty. His death was a purported suicide and his report was never released.
26 – Hershel Friday – Attorney and Clinton fundraiser died March 1, 1994, when his plane exploded.
27 – Kevin Ives & Don Henry – Known as “The boys on the track” case. Reports say the two boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. The initial report of death said their deaths were due to falling asleep on railroad tracks and being run over.

And this list does not include the four dead Americans in Benghazi that Hillary abandoned!
I wonder what the number crunchers have to say about THIS list?
Whenever I have posted too many serious posts in the past, I remedied doing so by posting a few guffaws, e.g. jokes, cartoons and funny pictures. To lighten the mood.
AND, because it’s MY BLOG! 🙂
Again, I’ve posted a litany of serious posts, mostly regarding governmental abuses. And it’s got me down. But, instead of guffaws, I decided to invoke Rule 5*, instead:
SIX of my favorite women! SO many choices…sigh.
*Rule #5 Post – Celebrating Women
A federal judge who endorsed “suspicion-less” searches of laptops, cameras and cell phones at the border has set up a possible Supreme Court showdown challenging what critics call “Constitution-free zones” and the Obama administration’s dragnet approach to national security.
I don’t normally side with the ACLU. but…
“I think Americans are justifiably becoming increasingly surprised and even outraged by the extent to which the national security state seems to be monitoring and collecting information about us all,” said ACLU Attorney Catherine Crump. “We think that having a purely suspicion-less policy is wrong, because it leaves border agents with no standards at all to follow. That opens the door that people will be [targeted] for inappropriate reasons.”
Constitution-Free Zones? Seriously? Of course, we already have these elsewhere (airports, train stations, sobriety checkpoints,
stop-and-frisk cities (Oh, wait! They stopped doing THAT!) 🙂 Score one for our side!
