“Will wonders never cease?”

“Will wonders never cease?”  –  Guffaw, February 22, 2014

The above words actually exited my mouth when I saw the following:

BAD SHOOT: Detective that claimed “we don’t have time for this” before killing 90-pound teen is indicted for voluntary manslaughter

It’s not a murder charge, but it’s more than I expected.

Little steps, people.

  1. They should have went with the 2nd degree murder charge.

  2. The cop should have done his research. If you want to throw your weight around, Clark County, NV is where you want to be to get away with it. The Coroner’s Inquest there was a complete joke.

I’m curious why 1st Degree murder wasn’t on the table. Would we mere “civilians” be cut that much slack?
“We don’t have time for this” – BANG! Sure sounds like 1st Deg to me.
Manslaughter is at least a step in the right direction.

  3. *Sigh*
Well, I guess I’m glad he’s been charged with SOMETHING.
Although, I agree with KM that First Degree would be more just.

  4. You know what they say, Guffaw: 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Manslaughter? It’s a start.
