(the above title from a CNN headline)

The Massachusetts legislature passed a bill prohibiting voyeurs and perverts from taking pictures up women’s skirts!  Huzzah!

(The legislation was hastily drafted after a court decision regarding the ‘rights’ of such ‘photographers’ was made in favor of the perverts photographers.)

We all know that passing laws prohibiting behaviors work SO WELL.  Witness that fact there are no murders, no armed robberies, no sexual assaults, no burglaries and no pornography in Massachusetts, either!

Thanks to CNN for seeing the value of laws of malum prohibitum.

See a problem?  Pass a law against it, that’ll do it!  Just like gun control or the drug war!

  1. I know it’s wrong, but I couldn’t help laughing over this story.
People are just endlessly bizarre. I mean, even when people are being evil, sometimes it’s just in bizarre and totally unexpected ways.
With porn being so accessible, where is the need for upskirt photos?
Is it the thrill of violating a stranger’s privacy?
The older I get, the more perplexing I find my fellow humans.

    • You got THAT right!
Voyeurism (I guess) is a powerful draw.
I remember tales of highly polished patent leather shoes, or even loafers with tiny mirrors attached! (from grade school)
Who knew cell phones would be perverted into such a tool?

  4. The only laws that need to be involved are ones that make sure the victim or their representative can smack the perp into tomorrow when caught without fear of being arrested.
