“Don’t Go Into The Light!”

Or at least use these flashlight functions on your cellular telephone!

From Old NFO

Spurious Flashlight Functions

500 million downloads nationwide so far…

Top ten flashlight aps are malware that log all your contact, position and transactions and send the data to one of three countries, China, Russia and India.    Can’t just wipe the app, you have to wipe the app and then reset the phone to factory defaults to wipe out the Trojan code area.

You may have this on your phone!

And I thought cyberterrorism was just compromising our power grid.

NOPE – now it’s PERSONAL!

  1. This is actually true of many, many apps. If you read the fine print of the user agreement, especially of “free” apps, you are agreeing to the app sending info data from your phone to the provider for selling to other entities.
And, not particularly in RIC either, it’s all countries.

    I love my dumb phone…..

  2. The only app added to my “Smartphone” is one I need for a client. If I could, I would go back to my dumb phone.
