Glock Demanding Customer Private Info
by Nicholas C
A local PA store, Trop Guns, has disinclined to acquiesce to Glock’s request to review their 4473s. The request is in regards to Glock’s Blue Label program. The BLP is a discount progam for active Law Enforcement and Military to purchase Glock pistols at a discount. At the moment, due to Trop Gun’s refusal, they have been booted out of the Blue Label program. (conclusion of the article…)
I find it curious, as government seems to be ‘allowing’ us to have more of our rights, that private entities seem to be focusing on abrogating them.
(There was a recent post regarding The Brady Bunch illegally collecting information on firearms owners, and possibly sharing that data with the government.)
I don’t know what Glock’s motives are. Perhaps they are more used to marching in lock step (being Austrian born) than American companies(?)
In any case, just as with the BATFE illegally making copies of forms 4473, any kind of behavior by government, their fellow travelers, or private enterprise to catalogue a list of legal firearms purchasers smells wrong to me!
It’s just the way I’m wired.
