We all remember that Aesop Fable.
Fast-forward to today, wherein people are lampooned for worrying about the Jade Helm military exercise.
I wonder why they came to the conclusion there was something malicious about it?
Could it be governmental actions have been less-than-benign now for over 40 years?
- unwarranted airport searches
- unwarranted sobriety checkpoints
- unwarranted vehicle searches for contraband at the borders
- unwarranted personal questioning with regard to citizenship or legal residence
- local police abuse of constitutional rights
- federal agency abuse of constitutional rights
- intelligence agencies spying on American citizens’ cellular telephones, Internet communications, snail mail, conversations and all manner of communication
- intelligence secret ‘courts’ forcing citizens into black ‘prisons’ for interrogation without benefit of counsel or constitutional protections
- military-sanctioned assassinations via drone strikes of U.S. Citizens overseas
- The U.S. Attorney General not ruling out similar actions on U.S. soil
Ad infinitum, ad nauseum
I believe in the Constitutional Republic of The United States of America. Whatever we have been perverted into is not the same nation, however.
It is no wonder that people reflexively want to believe the worst about their government. FEMA concentration camps, contrail poisoning, and Jade Helm are just the tip of the conspiracy theory iceberg.
We need to support a presidential candidate in this next election who proposes dialing back the abuses of the past 40 years.
Of course, if we truly believe in conspiracies, they will be discredited or assassinated before that happens.
Old NFO was kind enough to remind us, after having watched the ‘debate’, do we have to watch another 17 months of this!?
My answer: NO.
First, it wasn’t a debate. I did debate in high school – this was not it. There hasn’t been anything resembling a Presidential Debate since Kennedy/Nixon.
Second, they can say anything they want! They are not under oath. It would be more amusing had the Federal Election Commission swore them all in to tell the truth. Then, post election, if any elected official violated his/her oath…
I can dream.

Remember Black Power? Now we’re facing Alien Power. Forget Obama’s executive orders. Without going through the immigration process on the books, an illegal does not become legal, even though Congress buries their heads. Ohio’s Attorney General, Jon Husted, warned that issuing social security numbers to illegal aliens can [likely will] affect the integrity of our elections. While the SS number doesn’t make it legal to vote, it makes it easier to vote illegally. In Obama’s DREAMer amnesty, reports are that 90,000 received a social security number, which suggests that the 5+ million illegals Obama is planning to amnesty, have a better than good chance of receiving the same benefit. Since Obama’s late 2014 amnesty announcement, no one knows how many social security IDs have been issued. The Senate has been forced to ask, and are still awaiting an answer.
I was taken to task recently when I was debating another libertarian the proximate reason for The Affordable Care Act was not universal health care, or even health care for the disenfranchised, but rather another block removal in the Jenga that is Cloward and Piven.
Above represents yet another block.
Increase the pressure on goods and services provided by government, while simultaneously powering-down the legitimate electorate’s ability to respond to said pressure.
The President didn’t just say transformation, he said leveling the playing field.
You know, like the end of a game of Jenga?

This time at a STATE level! By FEDERAL officials!
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted found 44 cases of illegal aliens voting in Ohio and could find more but federal officials refuse to hand over crucial data.
Husted’s investigation used Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle data to cross check voter rolls. However, for a match, the BMV record must be self-identified as a non-citizen.
It just gets better and better, doesn’t it?

The President seems to think so…
President Obama gave support to mandatory voting today at a town hall event in Cleveland. The President claims the drastic move would reduce the importance of money in elections and stop alleged voter suppression.
The Washington Times reports on the President’s claim that mandatory voting would change everything:
“It would be transformative if everybody voted. That would counteract [campaign] money more than anything. If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country.”

Of course, if checking legal citizenship and investigating voter fraud are racist, and therefore banned, I wonder which party would win?
When people ask for whom or what party I’ve voted, I always respond, “The Australian Secret Ballot is one of our most cherished possessions!”
Of course, one part of the Australian method with which I disapprove in the mandatory part.
We’re AMERICANS – very little should be mandatory!

About the Republicans taking majorities in the election!
Remember, many of them are big government RINOS, or even anti-gun rights.
And, in Washington State…
Initiative 594 was one of two rival gun measures on the ballot. It requires background checks on all sales and transfers, including private transactions and many loans and gifts. It passed with especially strong support in King County.
“It’s the first time in the country that by a vote of the people we’ve closed the background check loophole,” said Zach Silk, campaign manager for the measure. “When elected officials couldn’t stand up to the gun lobby, the people did.”
Those folks who want to control you (i.e. everyone in government) are going to see this as a ‘camel’s nose under the tent’ moment, and say, “Hey they did it in Washington State, why not OUR State? Or Nationally?”
Not to mention, how exactly is such a law enforced? (Hint – registration)
Word about the ‘Net (that bastion of information factual, don’t ya know!) is that there was a specific reason for
criminal mastermind racist buffoon Attorney General Eric Holder to have recently retired.
NO, it’s not because of pending charges related to GUNWALKER, aka Fast & Furious. Or his non-pursuit of federal charges against the New Black Panther folks inhibiting (White) people from casting their votes. Or the massive Internet or cellular telephone surveillance he authorized against non-criminal U.S. citizens. Or any other of the numerous felonies with which he should be charged and convicted.
It’s because The President sees a way to leave his mark on the Nation is when a conservative member of the U.S. Supreme Court retires, he’s going to appoint Eric Holder!!!
Can you imagine? I’ve been concerned about The President appointing someone of his ilk, but THIS guy? Supreme Court appointments are for life.
Makes me pray for Leon Panetta or Bernie Sanders.

First, of course, the quintessential D*** NIXON. (for whom I did vote in 1972!)
Followed by all others.
Cases(s) in point…
We are ready to have our local primary. Here are three of the many candidates being promoted:
I’m guessing he had a lot of fun in junior high and high school. And, if he was ever in the military…?
SERIOUSLY? What moniker do you think they gave HIM in high school?
I’ve no idea what either of these gentlemen’s politics are, but am using them to promote my thesis – ALL POLITICIANS ARE D***S!
Even if they are named David or Susan…
Popular wisdom would say they are either strong and wise belying their years, due to years of verbal abuse about their names. Or they are borderline psychotics running for public office…
And, lest we forget…
I rest my case.
…or Queen. King?
( with apologies to R. Kipling)
Our former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, doesn’t know that in the UK “Conservative” and “Tory” are synonyms for the same political party…
Hillary Clinton on the Special Relationship between the US and Britain:
“It is so special to me personally and I think that it is very special between our two countries. There is just not just a common language, there is a common set of values that we can fall back on. It doesn’t matter in our country whether it is a Republican or Democrat, or frankly in your country whether it is a ‘Conservative’ and ‘Tory.’ There is a level of trust and understanding. That doesn’t mean that we always agree because of course we don’t.”
SERIOUSLY? A woman whose only claim to fame was to be a dishonored Watergate prosecution attorney, married to a serial rapist, who was from Arkansas, then magically became a United States Senator from New York, then the perennial presidential candidate became the Secretary of State. And doesn’t know this?
And I’m not even mentioning Whitewater or Benghazi…
Vote for HER for president? Not on your life!
