The Elite “Have No Idea” – Society Is Near The Breaking Point

(from the ‘variations on a theme’ department)

in part…

by Tyler Durden

Authored by ‘Chindit13’,

What I find most surprising today is that the insiders and the elite have no idea what is percolating just beneath the surface.  Okay, maybe their arrogance actually produces its own fog, so it should not come as a surprise that they are blinded. They do not look at the calendar, which, if one really looks, says “1788” on it.  Something is close.  Very close.  Society is near the breaking point.

My own experience is that Hillary’s so-called Deplorables are actually the most reserved, most polite, and most honest demographic in the country. They are more informed, more self-reliant, and among other things, better armed.  Regarding their arms, they are incredibly responsible, and not the source of the violence for which the implement, and not the person, is too often blamed.  The Deplorables have the longest fuse.  It is, however, a fuse.

Alt Left, on the other hand, are the Neo Fascists and Neo Neocons.  It is Alt Left that thinks Free Speech means THEIR speech only.  It is Alt Left that needs ‘safe spaces’ and wants to enforce thought crime.

It is Alt Left, and its media lapdog sites, that is heavily into censorship of ideas that diverge from their approved ideology.  It is Alt Left that champions regime change and ratcheting up the rhetoric against Russia. It is Alt Left that believes it has an inherent right, even an obligation, to lie and obfuscate if it serves their greater purpose.

Perhaps most significant is that it is Alt Left who so quickly resorts to violence and vandalism when confronted with people and ideas with which it takes exception.  Never has that been as clear as in this election cycle.

The Deplorables, however, are not possessed of infinite patience. Like a capacitor, there is a charge building, and at some point it will be released into the circuitry of society.

The media and other insiders believe themselves to be immune.  That thought no doubt results from being immersed inside a cocoon where dissonant voices are not allowed.  When the levee breaks, or the capacitor releases its charge, they are going to be gob smacked.

Precious few of them are anywhere near as immune as they believe themselves to be.  Additionally, what they might think, or hope, is their support, their security, their safe space, doesn’t really exist.

Most of society’s guardians, whether they are law enforcement or military, are card-carrying members of the Deplorables.

France was similarly constructed in the late 1780s.  The elite were isolated only in thought, not in reality.  Their protection was of a Potemkin Village nature: not actually there, but merely a facade that gave them false comfort.

They paid dearly for their arrogance and ignorance.

History may not repeat, but it does rhyme.  The calendar really does seem to say 1788, so 1789—and 1792–are not as far off as some would like to believe.

This is not a call to arms, but it is a call to reality.  Ignore it at your

own peril.

You should really go and read the entire article.

Tamara (Again) Takes The Internets!

as recently posted by The Queen of Snark (in part)

(…) In the wake of the Istanbul bombings, the people in charge of wrapping the world in foam padding are trying to figure out more ways to make us perfectly safe. Apparently this will put a security checkpoint at the edge of the airport grounds to screen you before you get to the security checkpoint inside which will screen you to get on the plane. It’s screeners all the way down!

(…)

…and if they move screening back to the airport access road, they set off a truck bomb in the traffic jam rather than a backpack bomb in the terminal.

The reductio ad absurdum of this, of course, is to avoid creating the security bottlenecks that make such target-rich environments by putting a TSA checkpoint outside every front door in America.

(and here’s the money line)

There’s just no practical way to nerf the world.

A Liberal Think-Tank Says This

(from The Brookings Institute)

Guns, Blacks, and Steel.

If you’ve read the book, you know gun crime (fatal and nonfatal) has a color.

Black.

But if you really want to see the reality of just who is committing gun crime in America, look no further than this Brookings Institute study. [Guns and race: The different worlds of black and white Americans, Brookings Institute, Richard V. Reeves and Sarah Holmes |December 15, 2015]:

In 2013, firearm deaths accounted for over 11 percent of all years of potential life lost among the black population, but less than 6 percent of all years of potential life lost among the white population.

White suicides, black homicides

Gun deaths also vary dramatically by type. The vast majority (77 percent) of white gun deaths are suicides; less than one in five (19 percent) is a homicide. These figures are nearly opposite in the black population, where only 14 percent of gun deaths are suicides but 82 percent are homicides.

The firearm homicide rate among black men aged 20-29 is about 89 per 100,000.To put that fact in some international perspective, in Honduras—the country with the highest recorded homicide rate—there were 90.4 intentional murders per 100,000 people in 2012. That includes all means, not just firearm homicides.

Gun violence is part of a vicious cycle of race and inequality in the U.S., reflecting existing social inequalities, and also making it even more challenging for young black people, especially young black men, to escape poverty and violence.

Poverty and violence is a creation of young black men. One cannot escape their genetic inheritance, and in a society where we refuse to understand so-called “inequality” is merely a reflection of individual black people’s collectively inability to compete in Western Civilization, standards must be continually lowered.
Expectations must be dropped.
Since Barack Obama took office in 2009, more than 100 million guns have been purchased. I’d wager 90 percent or more have been purchased by white people, yet there is virtually no white gun crime in America (save white people using their firearms for taking their own life).
This Brookings Institute study leaves out of key data point: nonfatal shootings. In city after city, nonfatal shootings have one unifying metric: a black suspect.
Memphis, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Chicago, New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Kansas City, St. Louis… and especially Baltimore.
The health of a neighborhood, a community, or a city [the “environment”] is nothing more than a reflection of the people who live there, and if black people create the conditions where poverty and violence flourish, the boarded up buildings and decaying infrastructure (remnants of a civilization once thriving there, before high levels of black crime necessitated white flight) are a vivid visual reminder of the vast genetic differences between the African and the European.
Lack of impulse control and poor future time orientation would be another, which is evident in 65 percent black Baltimore, where the leading cause of spinal cord injuries is no longer auto accidents, but black people shooting one another. [Gun violence often leads to spinal cord injuries in Baltimore:Taxpayers bear brunt of costs to treat paralysis victims, WBALTV Baltimore, 10-30-15]:

Baltimore is one of only nine cities where gun violence is the leading cause of spinal cord injuries.

The fallout from spinal cord injuries related to gun violence is a lifetime of medical challenges and what some call an epidemic: black men in wheelchairs, paralyzed from being shot on the streets of Baltimore.

“I see it especially at appointments at the hospital and in my passing. I see it all the time. It’s crazy,” said Tavon Harrington.

“It was at a cookout. Someone started shooting and I got hit,” Harrington said.

The cookout at Douglass Homes at Caroline and Orleans streets took place in May 2010 when Harrington went home for a visit from a residential facility for at-risk young people. One bullet destroyed the new life he had been building.

“I got shot in the back and it hit my spine,” Harrington said.

Harrington stayed in Shock Trauma for one month, then went to Good Samaritan Hospital for rehab for three months. The bullet fragments remain in his back.

“I’m totally devastated. It took a while to get used to,” Harrington said.

“I’ve been struck for the last decade or two about the incredible number of young, predominantly African-American men who otherwise look totally healthy who are driving around in wheelchairs,” said Dr. Peter Beilenson, who served 13 years as Baltimore’s health commissioner.

Beilenson teaches a course at Johns Hopkins University called Politics, Policy and Public Health. The course touches on the public health and social ills of the city.

“In most of the country, spinal cord injuries are predominantly caused by auto accidents and falls being the No. 2 reason, and about 15 percent due to violence, but here in Baltimore, the leading cause of spinal cord injury leading to paralysis is violence,” Beilenson said.

People like Harrington will need a lifetime of care and assistance with daily living, from eating and bathing to caring for bodily functions, and changing catheters, tubes and bladder bags.

The cost is staggering. The American Association of Neurological Surgeons said, over a lifetime, the costs to treat these victims is $2.2 million — much of that coming from taxpayers.

“For the entire individual in the first year following spinal cord injury, it ranges from about $200,000 to $750,000 for healthcare costs and rehab costs,” Beilenson said.

Patients are prone to skin infections, pneumonia and more. Harrington goes in and out of the hospital for various infections.

Poverty and violence is a creation of young black men.

Only in horror stories should a cookout be the site of mass violence, but for black people this is just a reminder of the type of community they create.

The fight for our Second Amendment “rights” is racial, because the primary race committing violence with a gun (fatal/nonfatal shootings) is black.

The fight for our First Amendment “rights” is racial as well, because the primary race committing violence with a gun our black people and yet few people want to utilize freedom of speech to point out this fact.

Consequently, “gun control” is a political maneuver in an attempt to protect the black community from Itself.
And how sad is THAT?

“Stratfor? What’s A Stratfor?”

…to cook in!  NO – that’s a potfor!  🙂

This is no children’s joke…

NO, this is about STRATFOR

Earlier this year, private intelligence firm Strategic Forecasting, or Stratfor, published its Decade Forecast, in which it projects the next 10 years of global political and economic developments.

While international analysts often try their hand at predicting the major events of the coming year, Stratfor believes that it’s identified the major trends of the next 10.

In many ways, Stratfor thinks the world a decade from now will be more dangerous place, with US power waning and other prominent countries experiencing a period of chaos and decline.

An interest part of all this (which, in order to read, must be emailed free to you – if you are not a Stratfor subscriber) is little mention is made of the United States.  And the increase in ongoing, government-imposed tyranny.
We’ve a tendency, as participants in the American Experiment, to think ‘we’ will go on forever – I’m certain the Romans thought the same…
Still an interesting read.

A doctor’s take

This letter, purportedly written by a Czech doctor working in a Germany hospital, illuminates the true blessings of diversity presently being wrought by the mass Islamic migration:

Eyewitness from a Munich hospital: A friend in Prague has a friend, who, as a retired physician, had returned to work at a Munich area hospital where they needed an anaesthesiologist. I correspond with her and she forwarded me her email. Yesterday, at the hospital we had a meeting about how the situation here and at the other Munich hospitals is unsustainable. Clinics cannot handle emergencies, so they are starting to send everything to the hospitals.

Many Muslims are refusing treatment by female staff and, we, women, are refusing to go among those animals, especially from Africa. Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse. Since last weekend, migrants going to the hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.

Many migrants have AIDS, syphilis, open TB and many exotic diseases that we, in Europe, do not know how to treat them. If they receive a prescription in the pharmacy, they learn they have to pay cash. This leads to unbelievable outbursts, especially when it is about drugs for the children. They abandon the children with pharmacy staff with the words: “So, cure them here yourselves!” So the police are not just guarding the clinics and hospitals, but also large pharmacies.

Truly we said openly: Where are all those who had welcomed in front of TV cameras, with signs at train stations?! Yes, for now, the border has been closed, but a million of them are already here and we will definitely not be able to get rid of them.

Until now, the number of unemployed in Germany was 2.2 million. Now it will be at least 3.5 million. Most of these people are completely unemployable. A bare minimum of them have any education. What is more, their women usually do not work at all. I estimate that one in ten is pregnant. Hundreds of thousands of them have brought along infants and little kids under six, many emaciated and neglected. If this continues and German re-opens its borders, I’m going home to the Czech Republic. Nobody can keep me here in this situation, not even double the salary than at home. I went to Germany, not to Africa or the Middle East.

Even the professor who heads our department told us how sad it makes him to see the cleaning woman, who for 800 Euros cleans every day for years, and then meets young men in the hallways who just wait with their hand outstretched, want everything for free, and when they don’t get it they throw a fit.

I really don’t need this! But I’m afraid that if I return, that at some point it will be the same in the Czech Republic. If the Germans, with their nature cannot handle this, there in Czechia it would be total chaos. Nobody who has not come in contact with them has no idea what kind of animals they are, especially the ones from Africa, and how Muslims act superior to our staff, regarding their religious accommodation.

For now, the local hospital staff has not come down with the diseases they brought here, but, with so many hundreds of patients every day – this is just a question of time.

In a hospital near the Rhine, migrants attacked the staff with knives after they had handed over an 8-month-old on the brink of death, which they had dragged across half of Europe for three months. The child died in two days, despite having received top care at one of the best pediatric clinics in Germany. The physician had to undergo surgery and two nurses are laid up in the ICU. Nobody has been punished.

The local press is forbidden to write about it, so we know about it through email. What would have happened to a German if he had stabbed a doctor and nurses with a knife? Or if he had flung his own syphilis-infected urine into a nurse’s face and so threatened her with infection? At a minimum he’d go straight to jail and later to court. With these people – so far, nothing has happened.

And so I ask, where are all those greeters and receivers from the train stations?

Sitting pretty at home, enjoying their non-profits and looking forward to more trains and their next batch of cash from acting like greeters at the stations. If it were up to me I would round up all these greeters and bring them here first to our hospital’s emergency ward, as attendants. Then, into one building with the migrants so they can look after them there themselves, without armed police, without police dogs who today are in every hospital here in Bavaria, and without medical help.

Reconquista 2.0 is coming. The new Ordo Draconum is coming. And mark my words, this wave of mass migration will mark the end of the West’s well-meaning but ill-considered experiment in religious freedom. Forget “European union”. It is time to bring back the nations of Christendom.

The writer is wrong. The lesson of history is clear: the nations of Christendom can and will get rid of the invaders. It can be done the Spanish way, the German way, or the Romanian way. And the longer it takes to substantively address the issue, the more likely it is that one of the two latter methods will be embraced by the public and utilized.

Immigration is rape culture. Immigration is cultural rape.

So, which will it be for the United States?  The Spanish way, the German way, or the Romanian way?  Or Ordo Draconum?  In Freedom, there are always rights and responsibilities.  What will we choose?

(Fill-In-The-Blank) Eradicating History

JDZ (of Never Yet Melted), tells us the following tale…

The Left Eradicating History

, , ,, ,, ,,

CecilRhodesOrielCollege
Statue of Cecil Rhodes at Oriel College, Oxford, where he was a student for one term in 1873. Rhodes left a portion of his estate to the college.

Last April, a statue of Imperialist hero Cecil Rhodes erected in 1934 was removed from the campus of the University of Cape Town. The statue had been previously desecrated with paint and excrement. When a crane lifted the statue away, celebrating students climbed up and danced on its plinth. Rhodes had to be removed, you see, because the 19th century figure was guilty of believing in African Inequality and was a renowned champion of British Colonialism.

Telegraph story

The insistence upon the removal of prominent historical figures guilty by the present standards of the extremist left of politically incorrect behavior and opinions is not merely restricted to Third World countries where revolutionary regimes have succeeded to power.

In Oxford, in the heart of England itself, the campus left is following the South African example and demanding the removal of a statue of Rhodes from a niche on the facade of his own college. Newsweek

The Left’s war on history, as you see below, at Yale, has been underway for decades.

What could possibly demonstrate the intellectual and moral fatuity of today’s academic establishment than this kind of abject surrender to the worst kinds of left-wing extremism in response to emotionalist blackmail?

If the study of History produces any kind of wisdom at all, the most basic component of that enlightened understanding would have to be the apprehension that it is impossible to pass judgement on the beliefs and actions of people living in the past by the standard of conventional opinions of the present.

CalhounStainedGlass
The stained glass picture of Vice President, Secretary of State, and political philosopher John C. Calhoun, Yale Class of 1804, ornamenting the Common Room of the Yale residential college named for the great man was deliberately broken by left-wing students during the 1970s. The window was restored, but portions of the window depicting a black slave in chains kneeling at Calhoun’s feet were removed officially in 1993, after a black student complained that he was personally offended.

I’m reminded of the recent kerfuffle regarding removal of flags of the Confederacy, and desecration of other historical items.

And, of this…
This is not to equate the teachings of the Buddha with those of the Confederacy, but to show that we need to remember history in it’s entirety to obtain the full message.
The First Amendment to The Constitution (at least in the United States) may apply, also.

Fear Of Their Own Shadows

(for those who missed this!)

The lovely and brilliant TAMARA takes the Internets, AGAIN!  It seems some media fools were demonstrating how to use a portable fire extinguisher, when this exchange came about:

I am including in the dialogue the parts where I was yelling at the television. (Tamara)

Savannah Guthrie: “A lot of us are intimidated though, like, by the idea of turning it on…” *makes gestures and facial expressions as though she’s holding a well-greased and annoyed cobra at arms length*

Me:Wut?” *tilts head on side like RCA Victor mascot*

Jeff Rossen: “I… I will tell you, I actually never used a fire extinguisher before and I thought there would be a kickback and I was afraid to use it…”

Me: (yelling) “OH. MY. GOD! It’s a fire extinguisher, you sackless herbivore! What are you afraid of, you big girl’s blouse?

It had honestly never crossed my mind that a grown human being could feel an ounce of trepidation about a fire extinguisher. That’s like… I don’t know, being scared of pillows, or footstools, or filing cabinets. And whatever you call this bizarre phobia, two out of five Manhattanites on my TV screen just admitted to suffering from it!

Well Said!

I suspect said Manhattanites are ferried to work by limousine, and returned to their condos nightly under the watchful eyes of armed security.  No wonder they scoff at those of us in fly-over-states who seek self-sufficiency and self-protection.

EVERYTHING IS DONE FOR THEM!

It’s as though they are AGE 5 !

BRAVA, once again! – all hail the Queen of Snark!

THE Conundrum Of This Age

Bayou Renaissance Man (from whom I rarely steal quote, as I’d be doing it DAILY! – translation – you should be reading him, daily!) expresses most eloquently this conundrum…

The conundrum of dealing with radical Islam

I’ve written about the military side of dealing with fundamentalist Islamic terrorism in these pages from time to time.  The trouble is, a military solution isn’t a solution, because it can’t target the mindset that produces legions of suicidal fanatics.  The Russians developed a very direct, pragmatic and utterly ruthless approach to Iranian-sponsored terrorism during the 1980’s.  It worked, because those ‘at the top’ who were controlling the terrorists could be threatened into compliance.  That doesn’t seem to be the case with an organization like ISIL in Syria and Iraq.  When you believe – truly believe, with all your heart and soul – that death in battle, or by assassination, earns you a martyr’s reward in Paradise, death isn’t a threat.  It’s a promise of greatness that you embrace eagerly. The same applies to Hamas and its extreme attitudes towards Israel.  How can you reason with a movement that celebrates death in combat, that indoctrinates its youngest children with lessons about the praiseworthiness of martyrdom and hatred for Israel?  There are many other fundamentalist Islamic terrorist groups who’ve adopted similar outlooks on life.

So, how do we deal with them?  It’s easy to say “Kill them all” – but it’s also completely impractical.  Despite losing thousands of its fighters in combat, ISIL appears to have a limitless supply of replacements.  Young women in Europe and America even travel to areas it controls out of a desire to become brides of ‘jihadists’.  Fanaticism is an inbred streak in the human race – not confined to Islam by any means – and as long as there are fanatics, there’ll be those driven to join fanatical movements.  We can’t kill them all without killing the entire human race.  Speaking as a member of that race, I have a profound objection to being included in that process!  There is no way to completely destroy fanaticism.

The mistake politicians make is to assume that they’re dealing with rational human beings.  Rationality is relative.  ISIL’s leaders and its wannabe martyrs are entirely rational, according to their system of thought and belief.  To change their behavior, we have to change that system.  To do that, we have to radically reform the society and culture that have produced it.  Attacking and militarily overrunning that society won’t inculcate contrary values – we’ve proved that time and time again, most recently in Iraq and Afghanistan.  The solution has to include methods of changing the situation on the ground.  However, that requires a long-term commitment and huge amounts of money, neither of which are available right now.

The only answer our politicians and leaders appear to have is to keep killing as many Islamist fanatics as possible in order to ‘control the infection’ in their society and culture, even though they must know that doing so will produce still more fanaticsEinstein defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.  That perfectly describes how we’ve tried to control radical Islam for the past few decades.  When will we learn from our failures and try to find a better solution?  Is there, in fact, a better solution?  In my darker moments, I fear there may not be one at all.  History suggests that may be the case, and that the struggle against fanaticism in all its forms may be a Sisyphean endeavor.

Your guess is as good as mine . . .

Trashing Arizona Again

SO…

The clowns who shot up attempted to shoot up wounded a cop and became DRT* had lived and worked in Arizona.

One reportedly owned a pizza shop.  The other was on probation.  Somehow, they obtained a firearm and went to Texas to attempt to decimate the free speech of folks making fun of Mohammad.

I’m continually fascinated annoyed by folks who come here or choose to live here, but don’t understand basic tenets of the Republic, like Free Speech.

If you don’t want to see cartoons making fun of your religious founder, go live in Saudi Arabia.  I’m certain the State there doesn’t allow such fall-de-ral!

I remember one of the clowns who flew the planes into the Twin Towers lived here (right across from my former workplace TMCCC!) and went to flight school here.

It not Arizona’s fault.  We just happen to be a somewhat-free venue.

A paradox, for sure.

"Round up the usual suspects."

In Loving Memory…
