leftist, Democrat, criminal shot up the place!
Four people, including United States Congressman Steve Scalise were shot, the congressman critically. The shooter reported had asked if the folks on the field were Democrats or Republicans, upon finding out they were the latter, returned to his car, obtained a rifle and handgun and began shooting.
The shooter’s (name redacted) Facebook page was rife with hate toward the Republicans. He was also a Bernie Sanders supporter. Bernie has expressed shock at this grievous act.
Of course, if these weren’t politicians, it’d only be a blip on the radar.
In Chicago last weekend, 43 people were shot, 6 of those fatally.
Do we know any of their names?
And, while we’re on the subject, when was the last time a
right-winger, Republican, someone NOT a leftist shot up the place?
How many serial shooters are right-of-center? Or libertarian?
I’ll bet the numbers are small, if any (?)
The Left constantly accuses The Right (tea partisans?) of being violent, bitter, gun owners. But, when violence occurs, be it shootings, riots, stabbings, WHO are the responsible parties?
And then The Left screams for more gun control, when the police officers doing security on the scene stopped the shooter. With firearms.
Prayers for all who are injured. None (from me) for the suspect, who reportedly has been dispatched.

…but there were no cars, because there was no fuel.
Venezuela has a bread shortage. The government has decided bakers are the problem.
In a press release, the National Superintendent for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights[*] said it had charged four people and temporarily seized two bakeries as the socialist administration accused bakers of being part of a broad “economic war” aimed at destabilizing the country.
Yup. The honchos in the Venezuelan government were embarrassed by bread lines. So, in a brilliant example of historical illiteracy – dovetailing nice with their economic illiteracy – they arrested a bunch of bakers.
Yeah. We need more government controls here.
Also I’m reminded I need to buy more flour when I’m in the big town next week…
*Dig this: The National Superintendent for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights is apparently responsible for arresting people who get caught exercising what, in a sane society, would be their socioeconomic rights. Must be socialism.
AH! Government at it’s best! I would have said ‘at HER best’, but that would be insulting all femininity.

According to ABC, all applications to the FISA Court were signed off on by the Attorney General and therefore if any applications were processed in the past year, they were signed off on by Loretta Lynch. This means that Lynch signed off on any requests for wire tapping President Donald Trump during the Presidential race. This is disheartening knowing that she released a video over the weekend calling for the need for more marching, blood and death on the streets. This also means that she chose not to investigate the Clinton Foundation for illegal activities but rather signed an application to wire tap President Trump.
Finally, another very disturbing fact about the wire tapping request of President Trump is that the FISA Court turned down President Obama’s Administration’s first request to wire tap President Trump that was evidently signed off on by Attorney General Lynch. With only two applications denied out of 10,700 from 2009 through 2015, the fact that the Obama Administration’s application was denied by the FISA Court is very disturbing. The odds of this happening were 0.02%.
The Obama Presidency is now arguably the most corrupt in US history.
The HONORABLE Loretta Lynch? Seriously?
I know historically AGs have played fast and loose with the law. From XXX to John Mitchell, and beyond…
People speaking of political corruption often invoke Watergate and the Plumbers.
We are so far beyond that it pales by comparison!
And, the whole FISA thing makes it stink even more.
“The Obama Presidency is now arguably the most corrupt in US history.”
Perhaps, not so arguably.
(PS – shouldn’t it read candidate or president-elect?)
No, this is NOT a heretofore undiscovered John D. MacDonald Travis McGee novel!
A Clinton campaign email released as part of the Wikileaks data dump earlier today talks about the need to maintain political power by producing “an unaware and compliant citizenry”.
The email was sent to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta by former Clinton administration official Bill Ivey on March 13, 2016.
Yeah, THAT’S the only way Secretary Clinton can maintain political power! Unawareness and compliance.
Because, if she had illicit power, the aware and uncompliant would take it from her!
I lived in my parent’s house after high school, and into college. The University was about a mile-and-a-half North, and an easy walk. Things became ‘complicated’ when I dropped-out after a year, and was on academic probation. (long-time readers will remember Joe Cool?). My parents then required rent and employment (I had been working the entire time), and two years later (age 20) I moved out simultaneously with starting at a community college.
I thought I was a failure.
Ultimately, I completed community college (3.615 GPA,with high distinction, don’t ya know!), got my Associates Degree (Administration of Justice), and entered life. It’s amazing how the realities of financial obligation and low paying jobs motivate! During the recession (1975). No decent jobs.
BUT, somehow I survived. I paid my own way through college (no loans, no parent money), worked then entire time (mostly in private security) and paid rent – sometimes even on time! 😛
The idea of moving back into my parent’s home was anathema to me. My father’s passing in 1977 further reinforced the concept (I didn’t have a good relationship with my stepmother).
For the first time in modern history the most common living arrangement for young adults is living in their parents’ homes. (18 to 34)
I wonder how this happened? Poor employment opportunities? Low pay? Bad economy? I suspect the liberals will blame it on the debt based on Bush’s wars. And the banks.
And the conservatives will blame the race-baiting, anti-colonialist communist administration currently in residence in the White House.
But I blame government. ALL of it. Between inflation, costly inefficient government programs and the cost of education requiring student loans. And Fabian socialists forging dishistory and uneducated youth since the early 1900’s. They work glacially.
It’s who I am.

I’ve posted regarding the pollution, takeover, perversion ad infinitum ad nauseum of the Democratic Party (and other traditional movements, like the NAACP) by the progressives, socialists, communists, leftists, Marxists (whatever they’re calling themselves this week) many times.
But Free North Carolina posted exactly how it happened.
George Soros (per Glenn Beck ‘the spooky dude’)
Capital Research Center (CRC), launched in 1984, is America’s investigative think tank focused on monitoring the center-left.
CRC lifts up the hood to expose how left-wing entities and donors operate to fundamentally transform American politics, and how they seek to consolidate government power while manipulating public opinion.
Scott Walter, the new president of CRC, sat down for this exclusive 26-minute video interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation and explained the Democrat party previously directed and controlled the left’s agenda and funding of all allied groups.
But much of this tactic has changed.

Communism did kill, Courtois and his fellow historians demonstrate, with ruthless efficiency: 25 million in Russia during the Bolshevik and Stalinist eras, perhaps 65 million in China under the eyes of Mao Zedong, 2 million in Cambodia, millions more Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America–an astonishingly high toll of victims. This freely expressed penchant for homicide, Courtois maintains, was no accident, but an integral trait of a philosophy, and a practical politics, that promised to erase class distinctions by erasing classes and the living humans that populated them.
Courtois and his contributors document Communism’s crimes in numbing detail, moving from country to country, revolution to revolution. The figures they offer will likely provoke argument, if not among cliometricians then among the ideologically inclined. So, too, will Courtois’s suggestion that those who hold Lenin, Trotsky, and Ho Chi Minh in anything other than contempt are dupes, witting or not, of a murderous school of thought–one that, while in retreat around the world, still has many adherents. A thought-provoking work of history and social criticism, The Black Book of Communism fully merits the broadest possible readership and discussion.
They need to author a companion piece about Capitalism – oh wait! While there were certainly abuses and deaths, the numbers pale next to Communism.
As do the results of a free market versus State control.
Empty Venezuelan store shelves
I know, I’m mostly preaching to the choir here. But with the constant bombardment of the so-called ‘facts’ wonderful lands like Zimbabwe and Venezuela show us…
(FTC – no one gave me this book)
Two Hundred Forty years ago…
A group of colonial representatives of the British crown voted to sever ties with the most powerful monarchy on Earth. With the largest military.
And ultimately won our Independence.
Established a government, dissolved it, established a second government. And immediately began ursurping the rights of the Citizenry we had fought a revolution to protect!
Governments, by their very nature, want control and power.
John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Well, THAT ship has sailed!
Too bad the Founding Fathers didn’t foresee some kind of reset button, which would keep the Bill of Rights as Paramount.
And allow us to begin again.
I’m rereading The Declaration of Independence at High Noon again, today.
Before my so doing is prohibited by law!
aka what’s in a name?
One way those adverse to the American Constitutional Republic Way Of Life keep replicating their cause is they keep changing their name! And adding additional names to the roster.
Not unlike viruses mutating to stay alive.
Remember the Communist Party of Soviet Russia fame? Well, it became CPUSA here. Then morphed into fellow travelers. (The Black Panthers became the NEW Black Panthers, etc.)
(Were the NEW Christy Minstrels significantly different from the original? Inquiring minds want to know.) 🙂
Communists became Socialists. Which became Progressives. Which infected once honorable institutions like the Democratic Party and the NAACP.
And, yes, the Republican Party, as well(!)
As I’ve oft stated here, it’s all about control.
I used to use the phrase petty power and control, now I’m convinced it’s no longer petty – it’s grand! (and NOT in a good way!)
Brock Townsend brings us this interesting link. To The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA!
It seems THEY were the folks responsible for printing the protest signs used by the protesters
looters criminals present after that Latino dude defended his life against a Black football playing career criminal White guy murdered an innocent Black youth. (links below)

Grassroots, my A**!
Bet they are connected to those SEIU union folks that bus people around to protests, as well.
‘Workers of the World, Unite’, and all that c**p.
Some more than others (Animal Farm)…
Seems to me the term has come to be defined as something along the lines of:
“You have something I want and don’t or can’t have, therefore you have discriminated in some manner against me. Therefore I want – I demand – equality. And if I don’t receive equality – by >my< definition, of course – I will act against you by any means >I< feel appropriate until I am satisfied.”
But what that truly seems to mean is “until I have more than you”
And so it goes.
