from my friend Jim (Old NFO @ Nobody Asked Me, in part)
Except this time it’s the French Elections…
Massive email hacks, release of data, and…
RUSSIAN HAND SEEN
Former economy minister Macron’s campaign has previously complained about attempts to hack its emails, blaming Russian interests in part for the cyber attacks.
On April 26, the team said it had been the target of a attempts to steal email credentials dating back to January, but that the perpetrators had failed to compromise any campaign data.
The Kremlin has denied it was behind any such attacks, even though Macron’s camp renewed complaints against Russian media and a hackers’ group operating in Ukraine.
Full article, HERE.
And an interesting twist, the French government has put out a warning about publishing any of the hacked material.
France’s electoral commission has ordered media not to publish contents of Emmanuel Macron‘s leaked campaign emails to avoid influencing the election.
It warned news outlets in France that journalists could face criminal charges for publishing or republishing the material, under laws that came into effect at midnight forbidding any commentary liable to affect the presidential race.
So once again the ‘Russians’ are at play… Or are they? Or will we ever know the real answer???
My guess is probably not. When one considers that the average 14 year old hacker in momma’s basement is capable of using these same tools, and most ‘attributable’ to Russian/Ukrainian coders, it could be anybody…
Of course, he’s right on the money.
I do find it interesting how the Left continues to propagate the fiction that the Russians are behind so much election fraud. Because, after all, they would prefer a populist right-wing anti-communist with military leanings (Mr. Trump) over assorted other Leftists (Hillary, Sanders) ?
And forget the previous anti-colonialist leftist White House occupant…
Now, it’s the same in the French election. Supporting a right-wing nationalist…
Funny, the middle-of-the-road cat won?!
How is this news? I thought news that which is new?
I first heard about the Russians and Chinese buzzing U.S. waters back in the mid-70’s, from a good friend who was a Marine stationed aboard the Glomar [name redacted] spy ship in the early 70’s!
Ended with the Cold War? (tsch!)
It was (and is) a standard tactic ‘testing the fences’ (think Jurassic Park velociraptors) from time immemorial.
They just want to check our reaction time and methods.
They play silly games, as do we…
I’m not worried. Aren’t Trump and Putin bosom buds, now?
(I’m going back to watching my Fail Safe, Dr. Strangelove and War Games triple-header!)
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, said the Russian government was not the source of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign that his organization released during the 2016 presidential race.
Despite the Obama administration’s claims that Russia was behind cyber-intrusions meant to interfere with the U.S. election – and punitive measures taken against Moscow last week – Assange said nobody associated with the Russian government gave his group the files.
“We can say, we have said, repeatedly that over the last two months that our source is not the Russian government and it is not a state party,” Assange told Fox News. The interview was conducted in London where Assange has been residing for four years at the Ecuadorian embassy, out of concern for possible extradition.
Why would he lie?

Late breaking developments have emerged in the case of Georgia vs. The Department of Homeland Security. As Claire Bernish of The Free Thought Project reported on December 9th, Georgia’s secretary of State Brian Kemp penned a letter to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, asking the director if he was aware that DHS had attempted to hack into the server hosting the state’s voter registration database, and if so, why was DHS doing so. Today it was revealed that not only did DHS attempt to penetrate GA’s firewall once, but it had in fact attempted to do so a total of 10 times.
With the official narrative coming from the Obama administration, indeed, the president himself, that the Russians stand guilty of hacking the presidential election of 2016, many are left scratching their heads in disbelief that the only government found to be hacking a state election systems, thus far, is DHS.
Atlanta’s WSB-TV spoke with Kemp who said, “We need to know! We’re being told something that they think haven’t figured out yet, nobody’s really shown us how this happened.” The attacks came in February (2nd, 28th), May (23rd), and November (7th, 8th), totaling 10 in all, with the two latest attacks coming on the day before and the day of the presidential election.
“It makes you wonder if somebody was trying to prove a point,” Kemp stated in his exclusive interview with WSB-TV, adding that DHS keeps changing their story. “First it was an employee in Corpus Christi, and now it’s a contractor in Georgia,” he said describing how the official DHS explanation keeps changing.
(I have NO IDEA as to the validity of this report, but I DO like fanning the fires, occasionally – Guffaw)
The Silicon Graybeard (not a wild-eyed conspiracy guy!) brings us (in part)
Translates as “Let justice be done, though the world perish”. Apparently it’s not really a phrase from the Roman Empire but from a book in 1563. Wikipedia says:
This sentence was the motto of Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor, probably originating from Johannes Jacobus Manlius’s book Loci Communes (1563). It characterizes an attitude, which wants to provide justice at any price. Its first documented use in English literature was about half a century later.
Hat Tip to The Arts Mechanical for this information, in a piece called Nightmare Fuel, and it really is reading that’s not for the squeamish. He, in turn, links to a number of sources that are reporting on the truly disgusting things going on in Clinton Foundation’s universe. First a link to True Pundit:
BREAKING BOMBSHELL: NYPD Blows Whistle on New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes with Children, Child Exploitation, Pay to Play, Perjury
It’s. Not. Just. Bill. It’s all of them. From Reddit’s The_Donald forum :
BREAKING: I believe I have connected a convicted child abductor who was caught stealing children in Haiti with the Clintons
But wait! There’s more! (Sickeningly)
I truly believe the Clintons and their entourage to be evil. Morally bankrupt.
Even if none of the above allegations (many courtesy of Wikileaks) are based in fact.
Humans want to believe the worst about persons whom they already despise. It makes it easier to put them in the why would I want to elect THEM column.
Not forgetting about Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation, Hillary’s gun control plans, the illegal sale of plutonium to Russia, arming ISIS, the countless mysterious deaths and intimidations, Bill’s serial rapes…
(I could go on – but I have to go take some Pepto now.)
This does NOT mean I am actively supporting the Republican candidate!
He may be a pig and has used inappropriate language, and at best is a populist (see Huey Long
Libertarians? Two governors with scant international experience? One of who is a rebranded, gun-controlling Democrat?! And the Presidential candidate supports global-warming taxes?!
(I’m not even mentioning the Greens or the Commies… I know, I’m being redundant)
So VOTE. Vote not with your heart, but with your brain.
THE REPUBLIC’S SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON IT.
There is a prevalent attitude to laud our own heroes, and minimize others. I suspect this has to do with patriotism and nationalism. And as far as it goes, there is nothing wrong in so doing.
However, it is also good to acknowledge others from other cultures who did what is right, rather than as they were ordered.
The many Germans who hid and smuggled out Jews; the North African Arabs who protected Jews and Christians. There are many others unsung.
And then there’s THIS GUY (from Brock Townsend):
“A guy called Vasili Arkhipov saved the world.” – Thomas Blanton in 2002 (then director of the National Security Archive)
Last month, October 27, 1962 marked the 50th anniversary of an event too important in world history for it to get lost amid the Halloween and other “trivial” holiday-related notifications. I therefore chose to wait until they were over to pay due honor to this truly great and heroic gentleman who is sadly almost unknown outside his mother country: Vasili Arkhipov.
At the nail-biting height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, second-in-command Vasili Arkhipov of the Soviet submarine B-59 adamantly refused to follow his commanding officers’ order to launch nuclear torpedoes against USA warships which had been dropping depth charges near his submarine in a attempt to force it to surface.
I’ve never been a fan of communism, the Soviet system or their minions. But doing the right thing against orders is indeed brave – especially in such a system!
(And, now for something completely different – as promised)
22 VETERANS COMMIT SUICIDE DAILY
Even ONE of these heroes making this choice is unacceptable! (Day #4 of 22)
First of all, my thoughts and prayers go out to the innocent in the San Bernardino shootings. And also to those in Savannah, Georgia.
Now, an observation.
Most of you know I believe in the Conspiracy Theory of History. That is, many times – but not all – other forces are at work to force political agendas in times of crisis. Think Rahm Emanuel. Again, not always.
But, it IS interesting that virtually every time a mass shooting occurs, The President jumps onto his tired bandwagon about pushing more gun control. Many times before the bodies are even cold.
Or all the facts are known.
And students of conspiratorial history are familiar with governmental interference with many things. Forcing disease upon the American Indians and Blacks. The Army giving LSD to soldiers in the 60’s. The FBI’s COINTELPRO (black bag) program. The NSA’s MKULTRA.
There appears to be evidence the convicted assassin of Robert Kennedy was ‘manipulated’ (chemically treated and hypnotized) into taking the actions he did. (Evidence that he was never behind Kennedy, aside!) D. A. Vince Bugliosi kept pushing to reopen the case, to no avail.
And President Nixon ordered ‘The Plumbers’ to beat the Secret Service to Arthur Bremer’s apartment, after he shot Governor Wallace. Hmmm.
I used to know a clinical psychologist, socially. I asked him about stuff I’d been reading about governmental mind control, chemical hypnosis and suggestion – the whole Manchurian Candidate meme. Thinking he would pooh-pooh all the claims as pseudoscientific claptrap.
Instead, he shocked me with this statement, “Oh, the Soviets have been doing that since the 40’s.” (!)
And did he think we haven’t?
It’s not a large leap to believe that this ‘science’ hasn’t progressed since the 40’s, and that government forces (and corporate ones?) have been using it to push agendas.
What a better way to force through more gun control on the innocent than to have more visible mass shootings?
And if someone could control when those shootings occurred?
Of course, this is all just supposition. I’m in no way suggesting this is actually happening.
And, it does appear there are enough goofballs out there with their own agenda (Islamic fundamental terrorism).
And some folks like to never let a crisis go to waste!
(I just flashed on Peter Boyle as The Monster, in a tux, tap-dancing in Young Frankenstein – sorry!)
This came my way, courtesy of Doc in Yuma, a kind and generous friend and reader of this humble blog…
On August 04, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:
“In Russia, live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and live the life of Muslim’s then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law.
Russia does not need Muslim minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’.
We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The muslims are taking over those countries and they will not take over Russia.
The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing that the Muslims Minorities Are Not Russians.”
The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation.
If you keep this to yourself, you are part of the problem! SEND THIS ON!
It is a sad day when a (former) Communist leader (now an oligarch) makes more sense than our own elected leaders !!!!
I know it’s politically incorrect, but try substituting Americans for Russians in the above, and illegal aliens for Muslims.
It’s fine to remember and honor one’s ethnic and religious traditions upon arriving here, but remember, this is The United States.
E Pluribus Unum
(Word from a loyal commenter is Putin DID NOT say this! It does sound like him, though…) 😆
Or at least use these flashlight functions on your cellular telephone!

Spurious Flashlight Functions
500 million downloads nationwide so far…
Top ten flashlight aps are malware that log all your contact, position and transactions and send the data to one of three countries, China, Russia and India. Can’t just wipe the app, you have to wipe the app and then reset the phone to factory defaults to wipe out the Trojan code area.
You may have this on your phone!
And I thought cyberterrorism was just compromising our power grid.
NOPE – now it’s PERSONAL!
In a continued display of intimidation reminiscent of the Cold War, Russia continues on the march as reported by U.S. Northern Command, which identified six Russian planes flying near Alaskan air space Wednesday. The Command reported that among the Russian planes were two nuclear aircraft — two Bear H nuclear bombers along with two Mig-31 fighter jets. American F-22 fighter jets were deployed to intercept the Russian aircraft.
One day later, on Thursday, the Russians sent two more Bear H nuclear bombers to the region. These bombers were intercepted by Canadian jets.
Spokesmen for both the U.S. and Canadian command stated that although the Russian jets did not cross into American or Canadian airspace, they came very close. (…)
I was a friend (and for a while, an underling) of a former Marine who was posted aboard the Glomar (something-something – a spy ship) in the Pacific, during the 70’s – The Cold War. I remember him telling me tales of NORAD alerts. The PRC had a regular practice of buzzing our frontiers (i.e. just outside the 12 mile limit) with airplanes of various types.
Just to be annoying, and (not unlike the velociraptors of Jurassic Park fame) testing the ‘fences’!
Seems the practice continues, even though the Red Chinese/Russians have embraced Western trade and have loaned us bazillions of dollars to keep our economy afloat…
And of course, made our children dangerous toys with which to play, and our pets poisonous pet food, and have continued to attack our electronic infrastructure.
All while being our friend!
Now, I don’t want such friends – I don’t know about you?
They used to be our sworn enemies, and us theirs. How much is this costing us – to keep watching their efforts to breach our security and hurt us?
Who moved? Sounds as if THEY never did!
