HOW Does One Say That, Again?

The Firearms Blog just advised me I’ve been saying at least SOME of these names incorrectly.  Some, I have gotten correct.

Where do YOU stand?  Or do you care?

I used to say Heckler and cokeso as not to offend some folks!

h&kI was in error.

Of course, I knew a guy years ago who pronounced another brand SMITH AND WESTERN!  🙂

  1. Oy. It is not hard to pronounce H&K. I don’t remember the last time I heard someone say or spell the entire name, regardless of pronunciation. AK is pretty easy to pronounce as well. I have never heard most of those “wrong” pronunciations even living in a border town not known for educational or linguistic excellence.

    • I kept hearing different pronunciations, including one rhyming with ROCK.
Based on your turn of a phrase, I sense you are The Mensa member in your border town!

      • Honestly, my border town has, people that speak fluent English, Spanish, German, Korean, and Japanese among others. I only speak low level English and high level profanity.

  2. Heh… It ONLY works if one is truly multi-lingual in middle European languages… 🙂

  3. The only pronunciation of H&K is the customer service motto for civilians. “You suck and we hate you.” Thanks be here all the week =)

  4. If I’m waving money at a seller, they don’t seem to care what I call their merchandise.
